About

Who am I?

I’m Nicky Priaulx. A former law professor turned coach. And, as you might expect, I’m in my fifties. 53 glorious years’ old to be precise.

Like many people, I arrived at midlife through experiences that brought long-held ways of living into question. Not through a single crisis (although wow, were there some dramas!), but through a growing sense that the old structures no longer fitted me. Like wearing clothes one has outgrown.

This site

This site grew from the recognition that life after 50 is not simply a continuation of what came before – nor a problem to be fixed – but a developmental phase in its own right.

One that often involves shifts in identity, work, energy, and meaning, and that deserves better language and more thoughtful attention than it is usually given.

My approach

My approach is reflective rather than clinical. It is grounded in respect for complexity, autonomy, and lived experience, and shaped by years of listening to how people make sense of change when familiar frameworks begin to loosen.

This site does not offer therapy or advice.

This site is for people in midlife who feel a quiet mismatch between the life they have built and the life they now feel called to live – and who want space to think, rather than pressure to act.
